Saudi Arabia's first UNESCO-listed site was the Hegra Archaeological Site, followed by the At-Turaif District in Diriyah. The list has since expanded to include Historic Jeddah, the Rock Art in the Hail Region (Jubbah and Shuwaymis), the Ḥimā Cultural Area, the 'Uruq Bani Ma'arid Reserve, Al-Ahsa Oasis, and the Cultural Landscape of the Al-Faw Archaeological Area.
